...2...for passengers. I want Active Noise, but don't need to spend over $1000K with Bose again.

Any good alternatives out there at a much lower price point ($200 - $300)? Anyone have 1 or 2 to sell?

The Flightcom Denali might fit the bill for you. They are only $400 and are very nice for the money. I ordered a pair to try them and liked them so much I ordered a second pair. They are very comfortable, light weight and come in a nice case. You can get the non-ANR version for $300, which is in the price range you listed, but the ANR option drives them up to $400.

VW, looks like I'm in the same boat as you, now that I have my ticket and all I'll be looking to actually take people up and they'll need headsets. MoneymoneymoneyMONEY!

Get a couple of nice used Bose X. They're fantastic. Re-cover the ear seals if you have to and it will be as new.

Check pigpen racing on this board, he has Dave Clark's and I recommend his products.

Yeah... Shane's been conspicuously absent from the board....

Yes I'd imagine he's been laying low because the holiday rush has left his shelfs empty! I called for a custom headset and he was all sold out! Not a bad problem to have but I was Looking forward to a cool custom headset.

Had to buy the zulu 2's -_-

I have ANR-converted DCs, using the Headsets, Inc. system, and they work supremely well.

The same company sells DRE branded headsets, essentially the same functional elements but in a factory-built headset.

Their 6001T is $399.00, and a good value.

I have been using the Headsets Inc. ANR kit in a 15 YO set of Softcomms for about 6 years. Installed the power adapter in my panel. Work just as well as the wife's Bose and much more comfortable.

$169 if you install yourself.

I have a pair of V-1's from Tina's pilot shop that I got as a second pair. And for 280 dollars they're not bad. The ANR works quite well, not super tight on my head. Works great for a passenger headset.

Gulf Coast avionics sells that exact same headset for almost half the price. Apparently it's just a generic Chinese headset that different companies have put their brand on.

I used it for all of my training, though now it's been downgraded to passenger headset. But it still works great.

I've been flying with Softcomm for over 10 years. My C-90s are no longer listed, but take a look at their current offerings.

Shane is in the PNW area for a few days. But I was going to stick my 2 cents in anyways. As always you can check us out on our site
at http://www.thesquawkshoppe.com and check out all the different designs for our ANR Arcus Models.

We still have free shipping until Dec 31 when you use promo code: SLEIGHRIDE on checkout.

I second the GCA headset and not just because I passed their shop at Lakeland today :) I trained with these and they compare with the best for ANR. A screw fell off and the earmuffs should be traded out for the Gel kind but it has served me well for 2 years.

Interesting. Did you ever use the cell phone interface?

I did, it's only for music. It doesn't sound as good with music as my Sennheiser S1, but that's kind of expected.

Thanks. The web page lists music input and cell phone interface as two separate features. I was hoping to use my cell phone thru the headset.
I went ahead and ordered a set through their amazon store. Shipping was a few $ less through amazon vs. directly through their web site.

I have a pair of Peltor Cirrus aviation headsets for sale. They are in very good condition, I got them at a estate sale and am not a pilot so I have no need for them. I am asking for $100.00, I have a posting in the classifieds
