Just did an hour of touch and gos. (6, a go around, then a full stop.) Why is it that my best stuff always happens when no one is around to see it?
I guess I'm more calm, don't feel like I'm being critiqued by anyone other than my own worst critic (me) and I don't have any pressure to "perform" for anyone. Either way, it feels great to grease in a few smooth landings even if I don't have a witness. Actually, it feels great when I'm flying solo and something great happens and I get to keep it all to myself. I'm not learning how to fly for my instructor, just for me. Maybe that's the reason that solo landings are so consistently good?
