This question is for me, also for anyone I might help or run into.

I’m looking for a DAR that will help EAB owners update their operating limitations to the new 8130.2L that allows these planes to be worked on by a LSRM.
How much do you charge?
Can I get your contact info?

I’ve done all I can online, waiting for my FSDO rep to complete. I finish my LSRM class early next week and need to get busy on my inspection.

I’ll be speaking at my EAA chapter about this in March. I can talk them through AWC but would like a contact should they want to DAR to issue.

I suggest contacting DAR Mel Asberry, “Mel” over on VAF. But as he’s posted numerous time in your threads over there I’m guessing you’ve already tried that route.

I’ll PM you about that

Paul Dye and Vic Syracuse are 2 more—IIRC there are a few others.

Paul is too busy and Vic said the FSDO should be able to handle this.

From what I'm reading there's a significant difference in experience going through this process depending on the FSDO / FAA examiner you're dealing with.
My experience dealing with the Nashville FSDO was mixed. The first examiner I had contact there early on was unaware of the requirement for operating limitations change and mentioned license requirements for performing work on EAB aircraft as if they were certified aircraft. The second guy I have been working with there has been terrific to work with. I already have the temporary LSRI and tomorrow expect to get the operating limitations change completed.

When I needed my OL updated I contacted the DAR who did my inspection. He told me that I would need to contact the FSDO. I did and that was the correct path (according to the FSDO).

I thought he meant daughters of the American Revolution. I was going to post My sister is a DAR.

I've updated experimental OLs twice, for different reasons. Both times through the FSDO, not a big deal. Getting ready to do it again to add the LSRI inspection for my current plane.
