Another plane down La Verne, CA. KPOC. Second within 24 hours

I was listening to the audio in the hangar. Pilot seemed confused and called wrong runway twice. Right before crash tower called to verify he was lined up on 8R and no response. Tower called back and said do a Go Around. Pilot crashed short of the runway.

Yikes. By the looks of that smoke and flames it wasn’t fuel starvation... looks super clear weather. Sad. God Bless.

Less than 50 yards apart

2 in 2 days so close together is crazy!?

That terrain looks somewhat survivable. Is there more to it that we're not seeing?

Where each are positioned from the runway and their directional headings I’m calling them both a spin.

Tower told the Bonanza yesterday to do a go around and he has plenty of power to do that unless he was too far behind the airplane and out of the power curve.

Awful. 2 in 2 is certainly a statistical anomaly.
RIP to our fellow aviators, and prayers for the survivor and families.

****ing sucks. Terrible coincidence indeed. RIP

Just a guess but maybe he was fixated on getting a look at the crash site from the previous day and lost it.
