This was in my morning e-mail.

Hello good morning. How are you doing today? The payment is already
mailed out to your address & it will deliver to you soon. But i
instructed my Financial to mail out the payment including the mover
funds. Hope i can also trust you with the mover funds? & you will keep
to your words. Please i really need your total understanding in order
to make pick up arrangement successful. Just so you know; My PA got in
touch with our bank to notify them of this payment: She was told all
you have to do is have the check deposited into your account and it
should clear in 24 hrs, Please i want you to go ahead as soon as you
receive the check & have it deposit at your bank immediately, It's
Important you let me know when you receive the check and it's
important you let me know when you have it deposited, so that i can
contact the mover to come for the pick up at your location. Thank you,
Hope to read back from you soon.

I thought I had sold an old RV satellite system.
I still have the system.. it ain't going anywhere.

Lately I’ve been getting lots about logging into my various accounts to correct and update them so they can be unfrozen and I can use them again.

    What I'm going to do..
keep the check, when if the mover comes to get the cash, I'll give him the check, they can go cash it and bring me cash.

The sale is typically of somehting large enough to require more than a little car. So you hire a mover to pick it up. You know, like when you move to a new apartment or house? If it doesn't fit in your U-Haul, you hire a mover.

You mean wanting you to front money for them wasn't?

"I'll send you a check for the excess, please convert it to cash for me [before your bank sends you a bad check notice]" is about as old a scam as there is. This is just a new twist and not close to as sophisticated as the one being pulled on title companies and closing attorneys.

I feel left out. I haven't received a scam letter, text or email since last winter.

I get at least one a week, hover over their link, never click it, your software should reveal the hidden url. That will not match your known company.

I got one from my cable company about one of my email accounts. It may have been hacked, please change your password. Everything in the email looked legit, including the links. But I opened my own access to the account and changed the password. Never use a link supplied in an email. A coworker got the same notification.

What’s funny about them Bill, is the accounts are with companies that I don’t do business with. Haven’t had anything to do with AmEx in 16 years, not eligible for an account with Navy Federal and so on. I just tag them for deletion.

I get an email every now and then stating that my debit card account has been locked and I need to verify information through the supplied link to unlock it.

I never had a debit card. Report as spam, then delete.

I don't open spam emails, jug tag and delete. Why take chances? Besides, amazon, sams, walmart and ebay cant afford to give away as many $1000 gift cards as i receive notification for . . . .
