Annual log book entry

There are simple items that can turn pricey if ignored. One of these is

the need for periodic lubrication of components. There are established

intervals for for many of them that do not coincide with Inspection

Intervals. I’ve replaced quite a few Cessna Rudder Pedals as there is

no evidence of ever being lubed.

I would check the type's service (or service and erection) manuals. I haven't flown that many types. But every single one that I have has a factory 100-hour inspection checklist. (How else would an IA perform the inspection?)
14 CFR Part 43 Appendix D

In addition, I do NOT give my log books to any A&P or IA. I do supply a PDF of the logs.
I did that for our Cirrus.i kept originals at home, had a copy (printed .pdf, and a flash drive all word searchable). Only gave A&P the digital files, when retrieving the plane post maintenance, he gave me a clean new page to scan and add to my record book. It was a ton of work to make first digital records, but after that records were a breeze.
