I don’t think it is because If you look in the center you will see the third smallest arm which reads 10000’Tens of thousands of feet?
Just never know when you may take an Ercoupe into extra orbital flight!100,000s of thousands of feet?
not sure, will have to pay attention next timeHow much does it move as you twist the Kollsman knob?

I notice there’s a small bug like pointer that goes around the gauge but not sure what it does? Any ideas?
It moves as I set the baro
They did have a rocket powered Ercoupe once.Just never know when you may take an Ercoupe into extra orbital flight!
Thank you !It's indicating the altitude difference between ISA pressure at sea level and what is set in the Kollsman window.
Here's a link to an old PoA thread that drifted (imagine that ) to discussing this topic.

wish i would have known that my altimeter would read above 99,000' for my space flights! Ive been having to use foreflight to get my altitude after passing 100,000 feet msl

Starman!Just make sure you don't run into this guy and his orbital Tesla out there.
He's now over 32,000,000 miles from Earth but getting closer.Just make sure you don't run into this guy and his orbital Tesla out there.
