Saw this in an article today. I wonder how they do that.......

“Aside from the improvement in reliability, two additional advantages offered by the new alternator that owner/pilots will really appreciate are improvements both in cut-in and idle speed performance—with over double the power output at idle.”
 
To me the key is the Magnetic Field is developed by using System Voltage hence it can be quite high even at low RPMs.

The Generator is self activating so Field Current drops off at
Low speeds.

That would be a function of the regulator energizing the field. What company is promoting this?
 
My assumption was they were.

This is news from the ‘60s!
