Airport restaurant close to Nashville.

Taking a trip from Marion OH (KMNN) to Slidell LA (KASD). Looking for a fuel and food stop around the Nashville area. I can’t find an airport with a restaurant on the field in that area. I would like to keep the stop to an hour, so I need something on field or close by.

Lots of restaurants within a mile or two of BNA. Look north of the airport on Donelson Pk, up to Lebanon Pk. BNA is very easy to get in and out of. Don't know what costs would be involved at the FBOs. My top picks would be;

Party Foul (just west of Donelson Pk on Lebanon Pk). Great hot chicken (it is Nashville). https://partyfowl.com/

McNamara's Irish Pub & Restaurant (same area as Party Foul). https://www.mcnamarasirishpub.com/

Darfons Restaurant (a block north of I-40, just off Donellson Pk on Elm Hill Pk). https://www.darfonsrestaurant.com/

TennFold Brewary (a couple blocks west of Party Foul) https://www.tennfold.com/

TennFold is the longest drive from BNA at 6.2mi from Signature.


There are number of options around Lebanon's airport (M54). I don't have any specific recommendations but have heard good things about Demo's. https://demosrestaurants.com/

Quite a few choices near Smyrna (MQY). Look south on Sam Ridley Pkwy from the airport.

John Tune airport is on the opposite side of town from me so I don't know that area.

I'm between BNA and M54 and could provide a ride to/from food if I'm home when you come through.
 
There are a few places within reasonable walking distance of M54, and I'd imagine getting a ride or courtesy car there would be pretty easy to do. They don't have self serve fuel there, but they have fuel trucks and are friendly and accommodating. I was based there in the flying club and with our own plane for a brief time.

If you're feeling sporty and want to deal with heavy flight school traffic at a non-towered airport feel free to try Murfreesboro (MBT). I don't really recommend John Tune (JWN) unless you're wanting specifically to go to downtown Nashville or something close to there.

Personally, I like Southernaire River Resort on M93. It's an easy 1/4 mile walk from the free ramp parking and the food is good. The airport is unlit and has no approaches, but it has SS fuel and plenty of asphalt.

KTHA seems to have a good combination of fuel price, crew car availability, and proximity to food.

And, they have a crew car. Oh by the way, KTHA is less than 10 miles from the Jack Daniels distillery.
 
thanks for all the info. The trip is off for now until the alternator problem is fixed.
 
Just in case this thread is still being watched.
M91 has some good food not too far from the airport, they have a car.
1M5 is a quick drive from Franklin KY, which has good choices, they have a car and cheap fuel.
KXNX is another good spot where you need the car but they have a lot of choices in town, they have a car but the fuel is up there.
KJWN is a quick drive to Nashville and close to Sushi Train, all you can eat sushi.
KMQY has good restaurants close by as well.
