I spoke with the good folks at Gaston's today, and made our reservation :)

Michele, Joshua, Jordan and I will fly in on Thursday the tenth :yesnod:

    We've got cabin 4 :D

It's almost February; it's time to start getting pumped!

I don't think I'm going to make it this year... who should I send the LiveATC.net setup to? Somebody who has a cabin near the flightline, and a laptop with a line-in connection and a handheld or base radio to feed it.

For the 3rd year in a row, I'll be a no show. Will be recovering financially from a wedding at that point.

Next year, my to-be wife and I WILL be there.

Probably won't be there. Have a trip to PA and a trip to NM planned for May, and the plane becomes magically unairworthy on June 1. Unless I get a 2 day annual done, it's probably not going to happen. Plus, the dog really really really did not like the heat, and I'm not punishing him again with it.

I'm there, and Dr. Dave will be there if I have to hog-tie him and drag him along.

Also, I have a new attendee to be named later, with an interesting airplane to bring.

If it has anything to do with arranging meals at their establishment I vigorously violently decline.

I'm planning to fly the Mooney out, but haven't booked a room yet since it isn't confirmed yet. Looking forward to it though. Should be able to make it with 1 stop. :)

I'm gonna do everything I can to get there this year. It may only be for one day, though. I hope to bring the 206 up, and introduce the Drs. Meador for everyone to meet.

I would love to fly back to Gastons one last time, my wife was just saying this morning I should try to go. If I had someone from out this way that wanted to share expenses, it would sure help as that is a long trip from here. I can't promise anything but I am going to try real hard to make it.

If someone from the Northwest wants to go along with me, let me know, and we can make some arrangements.

Gramps Mark likes to fly that trip. If you fly your plane, he'd think it was cheating to go that fast.

I note that the fly-in website hasn't been updated with the 2010 dates or signup roster yet. Jesse, is that your task, or have you delegate that? :)

I've arranged my schedule so that I'm most likely in this year. I'll be starting the trip from Wichita where I will have my car so I'll either drive or possibly hitch a ride with whoever is willing to pick me up there. I'm still not sure when I will be done in Wichita. I'll probably be able to leave there either Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.

What should I do about a room? Is it better to reserve in advance or are there usually rooms available?

(This is where I coyly offer to make room for you...)

    ---

I'd be surprised if there are any rooms available for rent from the resort, but if you make your plans and requirements known on the board, there's often someone whose plans have changed (and Gaston's non-refund policy kicks in); also, you'll find people offering space.

Bottom line: you show up, you'll find a place to sleep.

OK. If I come in my own car I'll remember to bring a sleeping bag. :)
