I'm just about ready for my checkride but went about training in the silliest way possible. After starting and stopping twice I finally stuck with the training in 2008 and got all my PPL requirements completed and started preparing for the checkride. And then the wheels fell off and every flight was worse than the one before. I decided to take a little break.... And then the recession hit and I took a long long break. Started up again in 2015 and then an illness caused me to stop again... Started up again in May after 11 years since my last flight. I re-wrote the knowledge exam after two weeks of brushing up, got my basic med and after about 12 hours of re-learning the checkride maneuvers to ACS I'm one again close to checkride ready. Really hoping to finish it this time and finally become a pilot!!
