About to blow my top here

Does any place sell an assorted set of clecos? All I can seem to find on brown and the like are sets in just one size or individual ones. Doesn't any place sell just a set of assorted sizes?I see other guys on the floor with gold, black, silver, and bronze. I'm just super stressing about...

I'm working sheet metal on airliners/pax jets. Countersunk is common there right?

About to blow my top here

Ok, i've got it then. it's just a really tight squeeze, and I have to twist from the top of the spring, not the bottom... does it loosen up over time/with use? Also, there no fitting for a shop air hook up? Do i have to buy this fitting seperately?

About to blow my top here

Ok, I've kind of gotten it on there. It's on all the way down to where the threads stop, the there play in the rivet set itself...there's a little bit of play back and forward (not side to side)...normal? It's like MAYBe a 1/4" at the most.

About to blow my top here

These are the retainers I have...this is the exact set This is my gun I just cannot fathom what the problem could possibly be. i also have no idea how to get the actual set in it. It doesn't go through like the sets do on a beehive. What am i not getting? Whats more is there are no...

About to blow my top here

The beehive is fine. goes on and comes off with no problems at all. it's the non-beehive one that doesn't fit.

About to blow my top here

I cannot figure out how to get the retainer spring for my flush rivet set, onto my gun. It just doesn't thread correctly. The normal beehive one goes on fine, the other one just doesn't thread properly and won't go all the way down. Is there a trick to this I don't remember? I don't recall...

The Death of GA? Or, a New Birth Opportunity?

GA is pretty much doomed unless the AOPA throws it's weight at the FAA. Which they have been, and are going to even moreso in the coming year(s)..

    I suppose that's true

    First (real) no flap landing

I only ever use 20* most of the time. I'd still like to know what the cause was though. I'm tihnking just a loose wire...not too much can go wrong in the 172 electrical system...

    First (real) no flap landing

Preflight, flaps worked fine. Go out, go into slow flight...nothing. Come back to land and they still don't work. Get it on the ground, clear the runway and chack one last time and they work fine... Overall I was very nervous about it, but managed to do it perfectly. But what was the deal...

    Denver Presidential TFR Bust

I never fly when TFR's are in effect so I have no idea if they're on ATIS' or not but... I don't see how distance or multiple stops matter. You check ATIS at each fuel stop anyway, so if TFR's were in the ATIS (they have NOTAMs anyway), people would know.

    Denver Presidential TFR Bust

Don't TFR's show up on ATIS?

    Knowing things from memory...

So, my CFI's are telling me the local examiner expects a fair number of things to be known from memory (cloud clearances, airspace requirements, etc)...some people here have told me knowing WHERE to find it is more important...which do you guys have more experience with? I can do the memory...

    Flight Following from uncontrolled field

I understand this, but I'm prepping for the exam, and the examiner is really big on bravo services, so I need to learn it.

    Day VFR minimum equipment?

I was told for the exam I'd need to know it from memory
  20. G

    Flight Following from uncontrolled field

Yeah, my CFI just wants me to focus on the usage, communications, etc of Bravo services and stuff because the examiner is really big on that, and I've only used it once or twice. The examiner failed a student for screwing up on it... So, on the way back just call up whoever I was handed off...
