    Kidney stone

I see this is an old thread, but then, I am an old guy. I just had my first kidney stone at 65. Is it ok for me fly with a safety pilot to maintain proficiency while I wait for the tests and approvals get processed? I only had one stone and no evidence of any others.

Might be Moving to San Francisco

I travel to SF from Boston almost monthly and it is a great place to fly. I usually fly out of California Airways in Hayward. They have nice planes and good prices.

    Do you run?

I have been running for about 20 years. In the beginning, it was for fitness. Then I started doing triathlons and marathons about 6 years ago. I have done about 15 marathons including Boston (5 times) and Chicago (twice.) I am not sure if I am going to do Boston this year or not. I try and run...

WSJ: Not enough runways so we must privatize ATC

"privatization isn't popular with the turf-protective Congress, but the alternative--building more runways--faces fierce environmental resistance, and even if overcome would take a decade to implement." I always thought the WSJ had pretty good writing. This statement makes no sense. The...

Anybody wanna try and make the case...

Sounds like the airlines already have a problem with user fees; maybe they should join us and oppose all user fees! I like this quote: Tim Wagner, a spokesman for American, the world’s largest airline, said the fee system “is fundamentally unfair.” Now they are complaining that the...

    Congratulations

Great story. You should post that to the red board. There are a few older students there that are having problems with their progress. They might benefit from the perseverance of this gentleman.

    Whats your customer #?

I don't know why he was more special than me. I was pretty ****ed off about it, but I was getting anywhere with her about it. I was more upset at myself latter for giving in, but I did want to get home.

    Whats your customer #?

Don't even get me started on the airlines. I just got back from a trip to Palo Alto this week. I took a United red-eye from SFO to Boston; it was completely filled. I had reserved a window seat weeks ago. I got on the plane and took my seat (13a) and I was all settled in when the ticket agent...

    Air Force pilot training video...

I am cross posting this to the red board also. Check out this great video of the day in the life of Air Force undergraduate pilot training. The tweets may be old, but I would have loved to have trained in them.... http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...0783 9066&n=2

What a nice weekend in the NE

Well, after all these weeks of rain, I finally got to go out and fly! I flew from Lawrence (KLWM) to Sanford, ME (KSFM) and back. I just wanted to fly somewhere before I forgot how! Since I got my PPL, I have only flown twice because of the weather.
