How many are you into Model Aviation

I just got back into RC flying recently. So much has changed! Back in 2004 I bought a Avistar ARF to learn, and quickly converted it to a taildragger with a "big" V-Max .46 and tuned pipe. I think I have a picture or two on a CD someplace, I'll have to dig it up. I loved the Avistar but...

in search of an airplane to rent

Do those strict flight school rules follow a syllabus, or is it just politicts?

Yet another "proper airplane for my mission" thread.

2 years ago I bought a beautiful Debonair, a big step up from my previous Cessna 150. I wanted something that felt like the large twins I had become accustomed to in my prior occupation of "right" seating in B350s and both seats of a Navajo. I longed for that professional feel. I wanted...

    signature aviation fbo questions.

I don't have any experience with Signature, I've never been to one. I can say that Galaxy in St. Augustine treats everyone the same, C150 to C750. Rental car pulled up to the airplane for you, or cab ride called. I have always bought 15-20 gallons of gas though. I have not paid a tie down...

Is the bottom going to fall out of the used GA market?

I have been watching Debonair prices slowly decline. I thought I got a good deal last year, but I'm thinking of selling before it gets any worse.

    Lets hear some aviation quotes

My first flight instructor and close family friend (RIP) once told me before soloing his balloon when I was 16, "Son, you don't want to eat your last hotdog". I think it meant doing a hotdog maneuver of some sort and it being your last, but I never got a chance to ask. He died when a wind gust...

    Dry skin?

+1 on superglue. You may have thought he was being rediculous, but it works. It has saved me from getting stitches in the past as well.

    BMW *sigh*

I have a 2000 540i M-Sport wagon. It has been more expensive each year than my Debonair, but when it works, best damn car on the road.
