    Sport Cruiser

I think you might be right... I have to say though The planes, Sport Cruiser, Bristell, Tecnam, all look like great bang for the buck... I would rather have one of these than a 60 year old Mooney etc

Like someone said. They will learn the plane on your dime. Every plane has its own distinct maintenance Items. Do you deny that?

would you buy a plane that has a "substantial" accident history?

That's is the key bro. There are sellers that don't agree. One has to spend the time educating them. We all have different budgets. When I started flying at the age of 24 I would have bought anything to get in to the air. As long as it is safe no harm. There are a lot of mechanics out...

"Flies great" means didly squat. Make sure you check the rigging

would you buy a plane that has a "substantial" accident history?

The damage history is a "scarlet letter". You will have to deal with it when you sell of that happens. Why bother with it? Find a clean one and be done with it. Plenty of those out there

Mooney vs Cirrus. I chose a Mooney.

I had an '82 231. A 1966 E Model and the 1995 MSE The 231 was very smooth running but the turbo was a waste for me as I never flew in the flight levels. It had a long take off run and poor short filed performance. The E model had a 3 blade prop that was a "shaker". I put a lot of hours on it...

Mooney vs Cirrus. I chose a Mooney.

Hi Greg I sold my MSE to a gent in Florida and replaced it with an RV7A. I never used the rear seats in my Mooney. The RV is about 15 knots faster than my MSE. The handling of the RV is superb. It is very responsive with the short wings. Very strong build and excellent aerobatics I'll...

Best value in the market - Cessna 172 1956 thru 1959?

Yes. Moisture in the air combined with air temp and atomization of fuel. Same principal as an aerosol can getting cold when you spray it

Best value in the market - Cessna 172 1956 thru 1959?

Every person I know with a C172 and the 0-300 has had carb icing. That actually is their first comment. Great plane but watch out for carb ice How many of you in the thread have had carb ice in theirs?

Best value in the market - Cessna 172 1956 thru 1959?

That doesn't prevent carb ice. They have a higher incidence.
