Keep an eye out on Amazon under the used sales listings for the second edition. Snagged mine through there with Textbooks.com as the re-seller. Hard bound, used but no writing or wear to speak of for $20.

Is there somewhere to check to see the status of each of these towers? Tucson's only Class D (rest is Class C or un-towered) KRYN is on the list and I'm curious as to if its going to be shutdown.

Will be my first headset. Plan is to buy something lower end now and eventually upgrade later on after I get some time under my belt. This set would work it's way down to my wife or daughter as I am going to need 3 headsets when all is said and done. Thought about going that route with a set...

Not to keen on having the in ear style of headset. Earbuds, foam earplugs, etc all bug me after awhile. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Just wondering if anyone here has used the Victor 1 ANR headsets from Tina's Pilot shop? I found a short blurb in a thread from last year but I am having trouble finding a detailed review on them. Has anyone had any experience with these? Claims to be produced by Lightspeed just for them and...

Tried searching but did not see any threads pop up. Is there a difference in sectional chart vendors printing quality? For instance in Rod's book I have no issue differentiating between the various airspace colors and what not but in Bob's samples in the back of his books they tend to run...

Thanks again Doc :) While I was checking out flight schools a few weeks ago I asked each of their book recommendations. CFI I chosen had that one on the list so I have a copy on the way, the others above happened to get here first so I started with them.

Ryan Field (KRYN) just west of Tucson unless I decide to change CFI's due to the above mentioned sketchyness in some email correspondence. On that note if anyone knows a good flight school or private CFI in the area let me know.
