I guess the catch is they hope to hook you during the Platinum Level trial period. Then if you do not upgrade to the Platinum Level, you will be downgraded to the freebie level. Now, I do not know what the freebie level includes. But, I'll know after 5 Aug when my Platinum Level trial period...

Thank you, Pete. While doing some research, it seems it doesn't really matter unless you plan on flying professionally. If you do plan to fly professionally, it seems black ink is preferred. But, from what I've read so far, the FAA doesn't define a standard, even for professional pilots...

Is there a standard for logbook entries? Or, is it my choice to use pen or pencil? If I must use a pen, what color should the ink be? Thank you.

I also have mild OSA, and can understand it too. We do not think of it as an illness or disability, but rather a condition.

It's covered under item 18x, "Other Illness, disability, or surgery." That seems to be the FAA's catch-all for everything else.
