Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

And just after that photo was taken the package I received via FedEx yesterday fell out of the truck, got run over, and possibly backed over once or twice. :mad2:
Years ago my supervisor sent out Christmas cards to everyone in the department…except me.

Months later I got a package in the mail. It was a clear plastic bag with a Christmas card envelope inside. The envelope was torn, dirty, had tire marks on it, and looked like it might also have a footprint on it too. But my address was complete enough that it eventually found my mailbox.

Years back, after I’d finished grad school and started work in another state, my diploma was mailed to me in a huge rigid mailer. It arrived badly crumpled and torn almost in half. That was one Ph.D. diploma NOT suitable for framing. I was more crushed than the envelope.

The school did eventually re-issue it.

My undergrad diploma came intact but stained and a bit worse for wear. I figured it was a good metaphor.

My high school diploma came with my name misspelled. Everyone else thought it might be a sign.
