So what is looks to be boiling down to is, I need to go to the local flight school and sign up for official lessons. That is the only way I will be able to log any hours.

I searched a bit for DVD stuff. I am not opposed to books. A couple that I looked at had both book and DVD. I learn best hands on but do good with books and DVD's too. I can't afford flight lessons yet and I thought this would be a good way to get started.

What are peoples opinions on the DVD training series videos that are offered? I am thinking about picking one up so I can start on the knowledge portion of training. I have been looking at the ones from Sporty's, King, and Jeppsen. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? Thank you,

Is an actual logbook required for logging time or can I use an Excel spreadsheet? I have no problems printing off pages and putting them in a small binder to carry with me. What information is required to be on a log sheet?

Well that sucks. Maybe we can just sign up for a long lesson instead of a charter flight? I guess I am going to have to rethink this.

This is as close as we got to the jets used in the show. There was another one in the hanger behind me for photos.They even had my brother-in-laws name on the side.
