    Aviation Related Music!

Okay PoA Members...here's your challenge for the day. I just installed a new audio system in my airport terminal building, complete with iPod docking station for my listening pleasure. I want to put a series of playlists together, including one that is completely aviation related. Give me...

    Aviator sunglasses...

+1! I love my AO's and the best part about them is that they are available at many Army/Navy Surplus stores for around $35. They come with a nice case and cleaning pad (mind did anyhow). Nice & cheap...a combo rarely found in aviation!

    WTB: Garmin 695 or 696

Sorry, the original intent of my post is for someone who is looking to upgrade. Avionics & accessory shops are giving $1250 on average for a 696 and $950 for a 695 with accessories, if everything is fairly mint. Heck, I can buy a refurbished 696 from Banyan with a warranty for $1499. I'm in...

    WTB: Garmin 695 or 696

Okay, okay...I know I posted awhile back wanting only a 695, but I really would like either now. Would like to purchase a used Garmin 695 or 696 with all factory accessories if anyone has either. If you've been thinking about upgrading to something new, rather than get bottom dollar from a...

    Thinking about a KLN-89B

I could make the same argument for many pilots today who fly VFR in single engine aircraft, but that's not the point of my thread/post. I fly enough in IMC in single and multi-engine aircraft...I maintain my Skyhawk very well and keep many redundancies. Whether or not they are legal is not my...

    Thinking about a KLN-89B

Not to mention the fact that if something DOES go wrong with it, a replacement is readily available on eBay (w/ 8130) for under $500...why repair?! lol

    Thinking about a KLN-89B

I'll be happy to install a 430W if you are willing to pony up the extra cash. I've already stated that is just to make my Skyhawk legal. I'll still enjoy using my 696 and nothing will really change, other than I won't be restricted to filing /A anymore. I'm realistic and know that I will more...

Elevation Chophouse / Cobb County Airport (KRYY) Kennesaw, GA

I had an opportunity to visit the Cobb County Airport (KRYY) last night just north of Atlanta, GA. What an experience! Arrival is very easy into and out of the airport...even though it was crystal clear, I filed IFR and had zero trouble navigating my way there. The airfield IS within the Mode...

    Thinking about a KLN-89B

I don't expect to have this aircraft past 2016, so +1 on it not being my problem. My next aircraft will already have this stuff in it before I buy it, I guarantee you that. But you know how the FAA is...2020 might as well be 2050 *rolls eyes*
