Gastons 2012 - Don't miss it

It so hurts to not be there.
I am sending my representative in a Bonanza, 7892R.
He will be responsible for dispensing SoCo to anyone in need tonight.
And he knows what the drill is, sunup tomorrow. Now don't let me down.

I'm shopping with the girls in Branson. Y'all can revoke my man card now. Ha.

Meanwhile, we found some luggage for David...

Strange, there is a CFI at one of the flight schools at my airport with the same name.

Now, that there's funny...I don't care who you are.

Well unless "who you are" don't know David's fashion statements.

I saw a thread with a photo of him in what looked like a suit - for his official Angel Flight Badge. Top only. I texted him "were you wearing flip flops on the bottom". Of course the answer was yes.

I just tried to wath the video and got a message saying it was private. WTH??

I totally should have gone, what great weather.

Sorry. Just snapped them with the phone and didn't look closely. I'll get the good camera out tomorrow. :)

I haven't seen a single pic of someone in a compromising state. Or even any guys holding hands....even kissing! (ref circa 2008)
In fact are there any pictures of pilots??

Ask and Ye Shall Receive...

She says, "We never got any of that SoCo..." ;)

Sorry I didn't make it today. I'll be leaving in a few hours after a quick nap...

Coming back from Mountain Home tonight, five of us in the van counted 54 deer and one bunny. Eight of the deer were milling around the parked airplanes... Needless to say, we drive slowly.

Video works now. That was sure nuff a short field takeoff. Thanks.

Looks like he coudve landed and taken off again ...

Dude I was THERE in the Marina in 1989. Not a scratch on me or my parents' house (I was in third grade, I think). At least my winds don't twist in circles and relocate my stuff!!!!

Our house in San Jose was 6 miles from the epicenter. No structural damage, but not much standing inside. Shelves emptied. A royal mess.

But, I'll take that over tornados any day.

Hope you all are having a great time at Gaston's. I'll get there someday.

Tim Winters and Greg Bockelman, in front of Tim's nice straight tail 182, which he and Duncan (not pictured) arrived in this morning.

Some folks that knew Tim stopped in, and I forgot their names... But here's their departure in a Skyhawk...

(Edit: Link was wrong.)

So is everyone finding the goal posts ok?!

What is on the BBQ for tonight? Or are we eating out?

What's this "we" stuff, Kimosabe? Are you going to put in a surprise appearance?

There are two shade tents at the flight line but no BBQ grill. We did grill at our cabin last night.

The other video link is fixed and here's a family departing in their Piper.

(Shows a more normal takeoff roll that's not on a STOL bird...)

Fine dining, AME-Style!

(Gaston's no longer allows the grill by the Flightline! Grrrrrrrrr!)

Picked the wrong year to go, I guess (last year). I'm up in Branson for the next 10 days.

Did Danielle make any of her awesome pralines?

Maybe next year. :D

Yes, pralines and cookies extant.

Also, Sharon's apple pie smells like heaven - ready in minutes!

Oh and with 4.8 on the Hobbs plus the time in Tim's bird I'm home safe
