Yabut, it turns the Navion into a short legged beast without the fuel bunkering STC. The Navion is known as capable of flying very long legs.Gary Miesch said:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbine-Navion_W0QQitemZ4613065578QQcategoryZ63677QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Ed,
Just spotted this Navion on EBAY. Tell your dad! This is the Holy Grail of Navions.

That's not so bad. It is not as pretty as mine, but not bad. It is nothing to be ashamed of and it has a lot of potential. Congrats on what sounds like a great score.I warned you!
It matches the color of Ed's plane.I warned you!

I'll bring a case of spray paint to the 6Y9 flyin? LOLI really want to paint mine.

Sorry, punched the wrong key, it is an E model, it has the manual flaps.
William D. Thompson was the test pilot for Cessna during that period, he wrote a book titled "Cessna, Wings for the world" where he gave his opinion that the best 172 the company built was the 64-E Manual flaps, rear window, 40 degree flaps. and the 0-300 C/D

It's not bad, considering some of the other paints you see those in. At least there's no orange involved...I warned you!
Ok, now that's ugly. Looks like someone was planning to repaint it, and used whatever colors they could get for free. That's not ugly, here's one my dad is looking at:

I have been wanting to paint mine too. I don't mind the color, it is just that the paint is 29 years old and is showing a lot of wear and tear.
That is the hard part. I was ballpark quoting and getting 5-8k quotes for the Warrior. It was then that I thought if I am going to put that money into the plane I will be keeping it longer than I had planned so why not get a new GPS!! So I got the 430W instead and still need the paint job. Somehow it all seemed logical at the time.I'd really like to be able to have it look good, and not spend ~10k on having it painted.
I swapped out the 90B and a 155 for the W earlier this year.Ooooh. I didn't know you had a W. I've already pretty much what I've got on the inside...although, the interior is also reminiscient of a suit Gabe Kaplan would wear.

I am not sure. I wanted to keep it about 7 years, it has been 4 so far. My plan was to paint it and then sell it later for an upgrade. But the way things in the economy are going, this plane does what I need it to do at a really good price point of operations. So maybe painting it and keeping it are the right thing. I have about 7 more years until TBO, perhaps selling just before that might be the right thing to do. That way the buyer can get the engine done they way they like.So does this mean you're going to get the Warrior painted and keep it twice as long?
