Hmm... let's see who I can remember.

Missa doesn't count since I met her at work and she's the reason why I'm here in the fist place.

Then, one day Dave G flew up to KIPT to say hi.

First big event I met people at the Wings Fly-B-Q this year:

AdamZ (and his wife)
Gary M (and his wife)
Rob Schaffer (and his adorable girls)
Ted and Susan (with the Seneca)
Peggy and hubby
Lee
Andrew Stanley
Bob Ciotti
Andrew (flyersfan31)
Kent
Kate
Ron Levy (actually met him earlier)

I know there are others that I'm forgetting...

Then at Osh I met some of the same people again, plus:

Grant & Leslie
Bill Williams
Greg Bockelman (and Sharon)
Pete von Tresckow
Diana
Tim Metzinger
Kim
Jay Honeck
Jay Maynard
Linda (ladyaviator)

And I know there were a bunch of others that I'm forgetting.

Now just at 6Y9 I saw a bunch of people I knew already and also met:

Jamie
EdFred
Brad
Diz
Tony
Leah
Chris
Rachel
Tim (Troska)
Scott Migaldi

And once again I know I'm missing other people that I'll have to add later.

Each time I've had a great time meeting all of you. I thank you for the great times so far, and look forward to the more great times to come!

I don't even know if I want to try this...I know I'll forget people.

Lots. I've been to Gastons 3 times, Wings once, and the Grand Reopening of 6Y9. While in AZ, I got to meet a few of the SoCal/PHX POAers.

Classy group, that's for sure.

I think it's safe to say that if I haven't met but a fraction of the people that some have met, by virtue of whom I have met, I'm just one degree of separation from most of ya'll.

Ted. I met you. I was the geeky guy with the Front Range Airport hat.

:D

I've met...

Tom Sisk
JohnR
Bill Jennings
Mark and Agatha Shilling

Since I can't fly anymore I haven't attended any PoA flyins except the one at Myrtle Beach a few years ago and it was "drive" up for me.

I've met at least 26 people, and I haven't been to any of the fly-ins, yet...

Havn'et met as many as you Easterners but quite a few, here and AOPA. Won't try to name them. But I did swap rides with Anthony.:cheerswine:

I've met:

And I think that's it so far. I'm looking forward to meeting Allen tomorrow.

Ha! Yeah. It was great flying with you and the area and mountain info you provided along with the CAP really helped! Thanks!

None in person but feel like it's many of the people here and in the chat room.

The first two I met were Michael D and Diana R.

Then,
Joe A, Scott M, Nick B, Mark B, Ed Fred, Brad & Diz, Barb, Bruce C, Dave K, Tom D, Henning, Jeff L, Bob D, Adam Z, Jesse, Grant & Leslie, Kent S, Rob (when he was Joe A's IR student). And a few of those who don't post but are members.

See, I knew I'd forget people. And I also met Tom Sisk.

And Ray left me a "Hi!" with the line crew at KPHN. ;)

I've met Beth.

And she's allright!

And that's on top of taking excellent pictures.

I've met the folks at 6Y9 this year...and before that, PJ (How could you forget that afternoon at KTME?). That's about it, so far, but I'm sure there'll be more.

Lots...and I liked you all (probably BECAUSE I stay out of SZ:D)

Did you do all that on your iPhone? I'm amazed at how well you type on that thing.

Nope, on my MacBook Pro. I use it for PoA, when it's connected to the Internet. When it's not, I use the iPhone.

too many to count, and ive never met one that i didnt like

There was this one know-it-all punk college-student CFI that I met at a dumpy errr classy bar in the UP once. He said he was from PoA. He was a total jerk. He said his name was Tony Co.......... uhhhhh... nevermind.

642 or 6... those that were at the August POA beer-drinkers-get-together-at-the-wings-picnic-table event. Uhm, let's see:

Anthony, Adam, Lee, Rob, Gary, and da' udda' Gary

Dang! You all have some good memories :dunno:. Don't know how many, nor could I remember all the names, but was certainly some good times in there!

Gary

Quite a few...Gaston's (x 2) and AMW (x 2) and I've enjoyed everybody's company. I'm not done yet. I want to make Wings at least once and 6Y9 at least once.

I am really happy to say that I've been to every major POA fly in even except the Midwest one....even though when I went to 6Y9, it wasn't the yearly event yet, it was the grand reopening, and was not on/near Labor Day.

Adam, that would be etsiSk, thankyouverymuch!

And Ted, it's ok - I still remember meeting YOU at OSH! :D :D
EDIT: I see ya corrected it! Never mind! :)

One. Judy (Judypilot)

Oh, and I've talked with Dr. Bruce on the phone.

I've met a gazillion and I'm too lazy to list them. At least 99% of them have been great! :)

Okay. After BADLY munging up on the women one time, I'm not even going to ATTEMPT this one , thought I've thought about it a couple of times. I'll just say that I've met Leslie in person and numerous others! :)

None have left a lasting impression, none are memorable? (It's a copout to say you can't remember. :p)

aw shucks. :blowingkisses:

and David is every bit as interesting in person as he is online! I met him in Colorado almost this time last year (and my first trip to CO, too).

Let's see -

I've seen Bill several times here in DC.
I've met up with Scott twice (once in DC, once in Chicago). The first time, he, Karen and his nieces agreed to eat Ethiopian food with me.
Mike, in Chicago (were you the one who talked me into Appletinis? maybe that was Leslie..)
I've met Adam, Ed G, Ron, Greg G, Jason, Toby at Lancaster. Greg G was very kind and gave me a lift there.
I've met up with Grant and Leslie in New Zealand, here in DC, and in Chicago (first time I met them was in NZ, and, I think we win the prize for going the FARTHEST to actually meet each other.)
Andrew Stanley, whom I met in DC AND as a bonus he stayed with me and my car until 2 AM when the tow truck arrived (yes, that was the Mercedes, which likes to strand me every so often)
I met Michael, here in DC. (Nick's friend, I haven't seen him online here much lately?)
Kaye, of course, who shared an instructor with me for a while.

Oh, I remember MANY of them, but my memory isn't what it once was (and I don't even remember what it once was! :)), so... But miss just ONE in a list, and you're done for! I know from experience! So I only mention my wife. Many others have mentioned Leslie and me, and I can assure you that I haven't forgotten any of them either!!

I also met Felix but that was at an unofficial AOPA fly-in for lunch. I have spoken with Spike. And I met Judy Parrish but neither of us knew it at the time.
