Or only when Airventure is on?
Believe you mean the Hilton Garden Inn?
Perfect! There is a campground just north of the airport called Hickory Oaks, they have a 2200ft grass runway and you can camp whenever..
If it was just a grass tie down I'd probably agree with you. But that includes showers and access to other amenities, as well as proximity to the Show. I've always considered Oshkosh to be the biggest vacation value I know. Even with the flight and a major purchase the price of the event is far less than I spend on any other vacation.$28/night for grass tiedowns is pretty spendy. Maybe they should offer year round camping and reduce our dues

Can you name me another class Delta airport that allows camping on it's grounds? What happened to that thread about camping at KOSH outside of the Airventure dates? Oh yeah, it's this thread.
you're confusing me. I said that $28 is pricey to tie down in grass. You said "not when the show is on." I said this thread isn't about when the show is on.Can you name me another class Delta airport that allows camping on it's grounds?
There is no fee to tie down on the grass at Oshkosh when the show isn't on because you aren't allowed to. I don't think you're allowed to tie down on the grass at any Delta or Charlie except in extenuating circumstances. The fee during the show is commensurate with camping fees that provide showers and amenities.you're confusing me. I said that $28 is pricey to tie down in grass. You said "not when the show is on." Now you're asking if any other Delta has camping. Is your question "year round" or "for an event"? I don't know the answer to either, but we may as well be clear before people start chiming in.
