So, just signed a lease and we're moving to Dallas 1st of June. I'm in the market to buy an airplane, does anyone have first hand experience on how much they will rip me off per year in property tax if I own an airplane?

Where you gonna be living? It's a great area for flying.
Also, a PROPERLY STRUCTURED purchase will be sales tax exempt, as well. Texas has an "occasional sale" exemption.

Man, if there were more rivers and lakes and mountains I'd have moved to TX years ago, seems to mesh better with my beliefs and with freedom loving people.
Well whatcha waitin' for??
(yes, the mountains are in the west, most of the lakes are manmade but still its pretty awesome)

When you get in and (slightly) settled, let us know - it is not entirely unheard-of to have impromptu gatherings with food and drink involved.
