Kentucky Dam PoA fly-in... (M34 Apr 26-29) who's coming?

Moonlite has a fairly large van (or two) I believe, and would get a group from the airport. They aren't too far away. I can call if need be to verify.

They can be busy, but I've never had to wait for a really long time, yet I've never had a really large group either...maybe 10-12.
Some fairly large seating tables in the back so group size shouldn't matter much as far as space goes, unless they are extremely crowded.
It's a small(ish) buffet. The food is good. It's a little pricey but not horrible.
Some say over rated. Some think it's the shniz.
The burgoo is good IMO.
Bill Clinton came and ate one time. Damn near shut the whole town down lol.
Are you talking about lunchtime or later?

They have 2 vans with seating for 9 each.
She said call when you are ready and they will come get....but could take two trips if only one driver is available. Or more depending on number of eatin folk.
It's only 2.6 miles/7 min. though.

FBO has a crew car but they won't reserve it. First come first serve.

My daughter has a crappy mini van that I work on frequently which may be available for shuttle. She lives by Midamerica.
disclaimer: I am not a certified ASE mechanic. (but I have replaced the belt on that spinny thing)

Interesting maybe some of us chipping and you get a rental van? Just a thought.

Right now I’m in a premium fullsize, but can probably get a big SUV if needed. The only issue I see with a full on van is that usually a specialty vehicle won’t get unlimited miles, which with the round trip from BNA might get spendy.

I’m assuming everything around the dam is pretty close - I’m not opposed to making multiple trips if needed, or even just leaving the keys in it and calling it our “FBO courtesy car”. :)

Well so it sounds like transportation is covered for the barbecue lunch. If we do the Harbor Lights restaurant one night that is a walk. So it looks like the only thing we may really need is Uber or something to another restaurant if we do a different restaurant another night.

do u know if uber is available in that area, just in case?

Sounds like a plan!

I would also have room for two, three if you really like each other, in the back of the CRV, which I plan to tow down behind the RV.

Not many options on the other side of the Dam either.
Called Patti's... they still don't expect to be open until end of year. Sad.
Mr. Bill's is an extension of Patti's, so same story.
Green Turtle Bay resort is a private establishment.
Dockers Grille - no shuttle service.

Los Tres Amigos - no transportation available by them, but they can hold a large group (according to them)

of course there may be hot dogs at the camp ground...

So Here is my thought and my thought matters not. Not that we need an agenda but having an agenda flowing in the background gives everyone an "Oh **** I didn't plan for much what should I do" plan.

Will there be SCRUM meetings and an Agile methodology utilized? Will you be the SCRUM Master? :)

Because I’m lame and don’t have an airplane, I’ll be airlining to BNA and driving in from there. So my rental car will be available to shuffle people around if needed.

There are at least a couple of us flying right past BNA if you want to try to work something out.

Archer season 9 premiers on 25 April (and appears to be a remake of "Tales of the Golden Monkey") so everyone should either watch it or let us know if you haven't so no spoilers.

I really appreciate the offer! The problem is that I really need to be back in NYC at a reasonable time Saturday night, which involves a departure from the dam earlier than everyone else. So I kind of need to have the rental care with me anyway. :(

My wife has a vintage 1943, 45 ACP 1911A1. It is a great shooter, I will see if she wants to take it along. Is this an outdoor range?

Yes, there is an outdoor range not too far from the place. I included a link to it in a previous post, here it is again. Just throwing out some possibilities of things to do.

I see that they don't allow 45's, shux

When we say "hotel", do we really mean the lodge at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park?

Alright, I reserved a cottage for me and the wife for Friday through Sunday and updated the spreadsheet. By the way, I booked at the Kentucky Dam website for $145 per night. Then I found the same room on Hotwire for $130 per night. So I canceled the reservation and booked on Hotwire. So you if you want to save 10%, there you go.
