Private checkride went horribly wrong!

I have the dentist routine stored somewhere.

My dad's favorite was Mrs Wiggins and Mr Tudball! With Carol Burnett in the skirt so tight she could hardly walk! :D Good clean comedy, I have seen a few of the out takes online and they were a funny bunch of folks!

I apologize, Sir, for being rude to you earlier. I really do respect the elderly. I help old men like you hobble across the street. If you ever need someone to help you climb up into you plane, Sir, I'd be happy to help you.

And he just keeps digging...deeper, and deeper.... :nonod:

He's got a tough life ahead of him...not just in flying....if he ever makes that happen.

How is this troll still being fed? Enablers!

Allow me to make an stretch here and deduce you signed up to the POA board with the intent of getting "advice" on your "situation"...thought to "cleverly" use a name that didn't 100% identify you and even thought out so far ahead as to think someone may know the "rogue" DPE who handed you your as* and let him in on it?

How is that working out for you?

WTF! :dunno:

That's exactly what I said. You just rephrased it.

It's been my experience the DPE and CFI are friends. The DPE knew before he walked in you weren't ready. But sometimes CFI's and DPE's agree to prove it to the applicant. Yours may have done it to you. Until you can prove to your CFI that you are really capable and your slightly nervous to be taking the test you'll fail. Proud of you for being an EE anyone can study books to pass the dribble college exams. The trick to flying is bringing it all together and prove it. I wish you good luck.

I hope the "newbies" reading this thread (if they were willing to read through 11 pages) will do an introduction like the front page requests. We didn't know you from anything else. When you started this posting last night it was your first posts...we've had several trolls amongst us and it's hard to tell so some of us went that route and so we did attack you. I'm sure if you can really digest the advice you'll pass the test no problem.

Thank you. I have taken to heart the advice given to me by the more reasonable among you. I will definitely pass it the next time.

Okay... Do you really think I would post a request about how to handle a rogue DPE and use my real last name? That would NOT be smart! As Henning pointed out, all someone has to do is look me up and then anonymously let the DPE know all about what I am saying about him.

Plenty of people don't use their real names here I see, in this thread. Nothing wrong with that. I was looking for advice, not some pathetic person who has nothing better to do than to look me up and cause sh@# for me.

And you don't think by the attitude demonstrated here that your DPE and all his colleagues don't know EXACTLY who (and what) you are??! I hope they keep milking you for big fees in exchange for pink slips.

Anybody who's ever wondered whose picture is on a $3 bill will never need to do so again. Smile for the camera, Pitiful Pete.

Don't look at me I asked for this thread to be locked.

Are you used to getting what you ask for? We're you spoiled as a child? Did you set fires and torture small animals? Pull wings or legs off of flies?

This is getting ridiculous. I asked my question, and I got my answer. There is no recourse. The DPE is not wrong even when he is. I really do get it.

Many of you took offense to me ridiculing that nonsense you go through getting your certificates. Probably because you paid your dues, you feel I should. It is incredibly old fashioned and antiquated. It is out of touch. I am not surprised that some many of you "expert pilots" have so many accidents. I am not surprised that flying a plane is as dangerous as riding a motorcycle, even though commercial flying by comparison is incredibly safe. It is because you are learning a bunch of crap instead of what is important. Go out and fly a plane. I just did that today. And probably better than most of you with your certificates.

You are all threatened by me, by the truth I speak which is why you are all attacking me (well most of you, there are several reasonable people out there even in this thread and I thank you).

I'm going to redo the checkride in the coming couple of weeks and I will prevail. I just need to become meek and beaten down like the rest of you, and say "yessir, yessir, three bags fill sir". I've just never been good with authority for the sake of authority, but so be it.

If none of you have anything more of value to say, I implore you to keep your mouths shut and move on. Nothing to see here.

300+ responses to an obvious troll, you guys are losing your touch! :D
His orginial post looks like the outline for a Saturday Night Live skit, if they did skits on general aviation! Maybe the old Carol Burnett show with Tim Conway as the examiner and Harvey Korman as the student!

Mr Tudball!

Lol, it has nothing to do with the DE, YOU were wrong, but you can't admit that. You're still wrong and defending yourself here; why? Because your ego is larger than your intelligence lol. Regardless your advanced degree in whatever, you're a dumbassed mental case lol.

You believe you're smarter than everyone else, than the collective wisdom of over 100 years of aviation, so that should give you a pass on learning the lessons required for when it all goes wrong. You're stupid dude.

Went with the Wind. The classic.

BTW - for you Burnett fans, she's receiving the Mark Twain award soon. It'll be broadcast in December. Gadzooks - she's already 80!!!

Yes, actually, now that you ask I am indeed. I am a powerful personality. I do get my way. I have an aura about me in real life that is powerful and overwhelming to most people. Some embrace it, others are threatened. The DPE was threatened by me. There is no doubt.

I demand respect, and i get it. Except here because I exposed my weakness in this test I took and asked for help.

Since Jim Croce was mentioned in another thread, I'm reminded of the lyrics to "You Don't Mess Around with Jim". OP hasn't learned.

You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim

You may be a great stick and rudder guy, none of us have any way of knowing, but with your attitude, you may never become a decent pilot. Anti-authority is cute when trying score a date with the tattooed girl at the bar, but not a good trait when flying. No adult wants a conversation recorded, much less one where they are following federal guidelines in testing your knowledge. While I agree the paper charts aren't used as much as they once where, you still need to know how to use them, same for the E-6B, you use them for check rides. Your air of superiority is quite remarkable for a guy that flunked his PPL.:dunno: By the way, I'll put my 18 year old son's performance in an airplane up against yours any day, he doesn't have his PPL either, but he hasn't taken his check ride. :D
Just because you disagree with a lot of people with a lot more experience than you doesn't make you right, actually it makes you a fool.

People who demand respect don't generally deserve it, just my experience.;)
People who earn it, get it!:D

Lol, you're not just stupid, you're a psychotic megalomaniac. You will not get your way with aviation, because aviation does not care about your ego. Gravity is a force that punifies your ego. The lesson it teaches you will likely cost you your life. There is a list of aviators every year that die due to ego, they all knew better and could fly circles around everybody.

BTW, should you ever get your certificate, I invite you to a game of "follow the leader" where you can show me your superior flying skills.

Just because you disagree with a lot of people with a lot more experience than you doesn't make you right, actually it makes you a fool.

Um, no, if I disagree with a person with more experience who happens to be WRONG, that makes me right. The person who agrees with the one with more experience who is wrong, is the fool.

Don't be a fool John. Open your eyes. Open your ears. Expand your mind. Keep your mouth tightly shut.

um, why is anyone even still posting to this?

I don't know, I got sucked into it! :mad2::mad2: But, it's kinda fun, even though I know he's a troll, nobody can be this stupid! :dunno:

You're on! You going to fly that overpriced piece of crap you're trying to sell?

um, why is anyone even still posting to this?
Because it's much more interesting (and amusing) than anything in the news today. It's not Syria. It's not the floods in Colorado. It's not the gun violence in Chicago. It's not having to deal with TFRs. It's not the hostages in Kenya. It's not the bombs in Iran.

It's just plain stupid silly fun. :goofy:

Concur!

Lock the mother****ing thread!

Nahh, we'll keep it going just **** in your Cheerios, you're not in charge here, the consequence of your action is that we will continue to taunt you you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

Dude, I've forgot more about flying than you'll ever know, your advice is solid, but you are the one who needs to listen and learn. ;)
You are disagreeing with a lot of people with tons more experience than you, not just one or two. You're not Chris Columbus and we aren't the flat earth society!:D

You're on! You going to fly that overpriced piece of crap you're trying to sell?

Nah, nothing you can get hold of can keep up. I'll use one of whatever you're flying. Let me know when you get your ticket and we'll arrange it.

I am impressed by anyone who properly uses the past participle of "smell".

He screwed up his flight planning on an open book test?

'Pete,' honestly - how the F can you screw that up? You are sitting home when you are planning the altitude. That's a pretty basic misunderstanding of the airspace system at the outset and you showed up with it screwed up.

I don't understand the attitude either.

I don't understand nervous to the point of incompetent blathering either. You alrady PASSED the darn checkride - your instructor gave you a checkride - you passed. He did it again - and THEN and only then - signed you off for the formal checkride. Then you cocked it up.

I have abstained from this thread to this point but you have not expressed good judgment to me, you have not expressed the ability to check your work to make certain what you are doing is in accordance with the rules, you failed - in a situation where someone else is judging you - to have the common courtesy to ask the DPE if he minded that you record your oral portion so you could review it later - and you generally failed to exhibit any kind of decent airmanship on the ground

So you fail. Yes - the guy was probably trying to make sure he had grounds to fail you in case you ran off the FSDO to challenge his test.

As for the $400 - when you are ready to behave like an adult - I would call this DPE, apologize for recording the oral portion without asking first, and then ask him if he wants would be willing to give you another shot. This shows trust in his ability and contriteness - then discuss the fee and what amount he thinks is reasonable to resume the test. You might be very pleasantly surprised with a decent attitude.

I'm not a CFI and I"m not a DPE - but I have been doing what I have been doing long enough to have a finely tuned BS detector . . . and this story pegs the meter.
