You Too Can Fly a Cub

Yeah, but it doesn't teach you airspace or controlled field procedures.

I notice that while yours says to land into the wind, neither of those actually suggest touching down with enough remaining runway to stop the airplane.

I'm not sure I'd like being on the receiving end of hand signal #14.

Sweet memories!

No radio, not much controlled airspace, and I was offered solo at about 4 hours.

Solo rent was about $5.

I recall in one of the original manuals for either the Cub or Champ there was a section titled Flight in clouds that was comprised of a single instruction: Do not fly this aircraft into clouds.

I'll probably get yelled at again for saying it, but I have more than a few hours in a cub, and it really is easy to fly, and land. It kinda tells you what it wants to do and doesn't want to do. Touch down with the big fan facing forward, power to idle, and let it land. I will admit to being way too chicken to consider looping one.

It's been said that the Cub is a very safe airplane that can just barely kill you.
