I have used this combination for years without a problem. I have an iPad which runs FF, and I set the network to the name network on the laptop running X-Plane 11. The XP pops right up in the Devices tab on FF, and we're good to go. My GPS position as created by XP11 is displayed on the iPad with fidelity. I've done the same thing with Garmin Pilot on the same iPad, although I don't know how it happened. My position just showed up on GP.
About a week I noticed this feature of XP11 just stopped working. I made sure the network on the iPad agreed with the laptop running XP11. The position of the aircraft on XP11 does not show up on the iPad running FF or GP. The icon on FF under the Devices tab no longer displays.
Did X-Plane change the ability of the program to display position information to applications running FF or GP?
