That's weird. Supposedly, they are pulling it from aviationwealter.gov, but this is what you see for freezing levels if you go to the source.

I had to go to 12 hours out to get data to appear. Odd indeed. It is 'Decision Support Imagery'....perhaps they couldn't make a decision for 12 hours.

The "random briefer" rather than a local one started at least 15 years ago, long before the website and even before LockMart took over the function.

Naah, that happened when LockMart took over... And that's been 18 years now. I visited the GRB FSS for my last (and only) in person briefing on 4/21/2007, about 24 hours before they closed forever.
