World female motorcycle land speed record attempt

Came across this randomly. The engine designer, Joe Harralson, built a couple engines for prior motorcycle land speed record holders (Bub Seven team.)

They were based on Harley cylinders using custom made V4 block and crank assemblies. @Ted DuPuis would find it fascinating.

Joe was one of my ME professors.

On a serious note, I can’t imagine why there would be a need for male vs female categories in that instance. If anything, you’d think most females weigh less than their male counterparts which would be an advantage, lol.
