Looks a little breezy, and the lightning doesn't sound like fun, either. Wise choice.

You see lightning? I was thinking at least the wind is steady at 100.

Occational lightning in clouds. Good stuff to stay away from.

That's wind from 100 degrees, 27 kts gusting to 37. Don't know the runway heading, but I'll bet that's enough to make things interesting.

Nick, I have a friend out there flying his balloon for the festival all this week. Probably no ballooning last night, huh.

Have you been out there to watch them?

Gee, Nick. It is just a little wind. And the lightning isn't in the immediate area. What you afraid of? LOL

My general rule is that if it isn't going to be fun, I don't go.

I'm ditching school tonight to take my niece to the Special Shapes Glowdeo. Should be fun...assuming the weather stops sucking. Right now, its

Not sure about the lowest the clouds can be for them to say "no-go" but since the balloons should stay teathered tonight, who knows.

btw, it got WAAAY worse last night:

Lotsa damage to street lights, houses, etc. Not a fun night for anything, let alone flying.

Looks like you had what we had in Las Vegas on Sunday/Monday.

Big Mountain wave! Sunday had the coolest lensticulars that I have ever seen. It looked like all of the aliens form Area 51 were coming into LV. It was a rough approach in on Sunday afternoon and got progressively worse throughout the day. By midafternoon there was almost no GA flying at all that I could see.

Yes, I do.

Pressure Tendency. In this case, it is .8 milibars change in the last 3 hours. The 3 means that it had decreased, but is now rising.
