Well those were sort of "duh" items since I can take those two things from plane to plane. I was just talking about the instruments / equipment in my plane.

Yes, I keep the following on me when I fly / in my flight bag:

Current Sectional
Current TAC (only covers areas south of me)
Current AFD
Back up sectional (outdated, color copy of sectional taped to back of my clipboard)
"Airport Cards" I made in training for the 4-8 nearest "alternate airports" to my home base
 
I wonder the FCC would let us make our own VORs on certain frequencies.. Or maybe even better yet, we could just make sectionals with all the AM stations on them and 'ndb' approachs..lol. I could make an Android app with.. n/m someone going to sue the **** of me disclaimer or not.
