Why didn't wake turbulence rip these guys apart?

Because they didn't fly in these spots...

Basically your question could be generalized as "how is formation flying ever possible".

darn i was really hoping they would've grabbed the wingtips when they were one on either side.

watch at the 2 minute mark

That answers some of my questions related to that other thread about can a wing suit land in the back of an airplane. Doesn't look like wing suits do 'level' very well - that glider had speed brakes and drogue chute and they were heading downhill pretty fast.

wake turbulence flipped one of them over though!

They stayed above the wings the whole time from the video....

Yeah, there's this whacky thing called 'gravity'....

EDIT: Eh, I forgot which video we were watching! 'Wingsuits' in my world are the squirrel suits that base jumpers use, not the jet assisted rigid wing jobs. With jet assist, gravity doesn't count so much

Indeed. Gliders use gravity every day. A wing suit is just a glider with really short wings.

There's also this thing called airspeed that can be exchanged for altitude - or just level flight - even if only temporarily.

If you pay attention they also didn't get very close. Camera angles make them look close, but they're really not.

They already know where the bad stuff is and didn't go near it.

Dumb question but if he did grab the wingtip.. would he have gotten shocked? Static electricity build-up ?

Ya after I thought about it i was thinking the same thing... One of my duh moments :)
