Pilots of America is intended to be a welcoming community to all. Part of that means not having the sort of locker room banter that is expected from teenage boys in gym class.

As a community, aviation has a reputation of being a boys club. Threads and discussions like this open to the public are exactly what tend to drive away the female pilot population. A female pilot (or female interested in becoming a pilot) comes to look at the forum, and sees that the members are talking about which 80 year old woman had a better tail section 50 years ago. Do we seriously wonder why we as a community have a hard time attracting and retaining female members when that's the case?
