A bit of a thread derail, but could you find the numbers for the PA-28s as well, please?Looking at my 1998-2021 database of Cessna 172 accidents, the highest time in type is 26,000 hours.
Exactly, why would I ever need my own!I will say it is absolutely no surprise at all that you have that many hours.....in other people's planes.
I have about 10 minutes. That was the only time I ever was in a 172. A very distant relative invited me to fly with him and very generously offered me to be the PIC for about 10 minutes. Zero takeoffs, zero landings.I wonder who has the least PIC time, but more than zero.
My logbook says 7.3 PIC, but 4.2 of that was dual for a club checkout, and the rest was "sole manipulator" time. I know I had one flight with a passenger, probably less than an hour, that isn't logged. So I'll claim <1 real PIC.
I don't have an updated database of PA-28 accidents, just a previous one that runs from 2001 to 2010. 556 total accidents. Covers PA-28-140, 161, 180, and 181 only.A bit of a thread derail, but could you find the numbers for the PA-28s as well, please?
Sounds like the same guy as the 172…need to get him outa this.Max time in type, 10,000 hours. Max total time, 40,000 hours.
