I read somewhere that a US company bought Continental from China???

Same outfit that owns Hartzel, and we know what they did to those prices. Hold on to you wallet and start saving.

I spent a week at Continental last year. It’s an Impressive facility with endless global business. I’m surprised it sold for 535Mil.

The 2026 price tag of 535 m is pretty much three times of the 2011 price tag of 186 m.

No matter if you deem this a bargain or not, one thing is pretty sure: it is not the buyer who will come up with the money at the end of the day. The retail customers will pick up the bill. Cirrus as the largest remaining OEM costumer will not accept significant higher prices. Those who need replacement parts or overhauled engines better buckle up and brace for the impact on their wallets.

Ok, silly question, on new Cont motor, how much is really made in house? I don't believe Cont does it own casting/forging only final machine/assy.

So other than equity profit price bump there is no reason for anything to increase in price... other than, well, the need for an equity house to flip it.

The do machining and assembly but not casting.
