Hi everybody,
I am from Germany and gonna visit the DuPage KDPA area in July and I am about to fly around there for a day. Can anybody give me recommendations of any nice airfields nearby? Does anybody know a good airport diner on a field there?

CJ's at KBMI
Charlies at CLOW
Flight Deck Bar & Grill at 8N2
Pilot Pete's at 06C
Fred's at KBUU
Mi Tierra at 05C
 
unless it's a coincidence and there are two of them the Flight Deck Grill is at Rochelle (KRPJ), about 20-min NW of DuPage. Charlie's is at 1C5, about 10-min south of DuPage. Aurora (KARR) is a nice airfield (my home field) maybe 7-min west of DuPage but no on-field food other than the freebie cookies at the JA FBO. DuPage has food but I think it's open only on weekends. if you only have the day I'd recommend either CJ's at KBMI or the Flight Deck at KRPJ. it's been a bit since I've been to either so be sure to call ahead to verify status and hours.
