Where is it?

I have been trying to locate the voltage regulator for my Cherokee six. My six is a 260, 1965 year.
trying to get my alt to charge, service manual says to replace my voltage regulator. I have a parts book, and service manual, all talk about the regulator, but I don' know where it is, my books won't tell me where it is located. please help....

It appears to be mounted on the backside of the firewall behind your instrument panel from this part manual diagram. Item #1. Fun times ahead!
