Where/how do you store your aircraft logbooks?

Local airport Twin Seabee lost logs over a year ago local shop that had worked on it before charged $20K to reconstruct them and inspect aircraft. Aircraft still not airworthy long list of things to fix. Keep your log books in a safe place, and a electronic photo copy is not a bad idea also helps if your going to sell the plane as you can email the electronic copy to prospective buyer.
