We're dealing with Covid-19.

But I don't remember the 18 Covids before it.

If we all had the first 18 Covids would we be able to understand 19 better?

Is this like watching Star Wars VII without ever seeing "A new hope"?

19 refers to the year it emerged. Remember.... China tried to hide it for months.

With all this economic uncertainty I don't think I can swing a Covid-19. What are Covid-11's going for on the used market?

I thought the common cold was most often typically rhinovirus? Perhaps they meant the uncommon common cold.

You are correct, but other viruses get tossed into the same set of symptoms. There's a couple of hundred viruses that are termed "common cold"
 
And all this time I thought covids were @SixPapaCharlie satires he produced with his friends.
 
Two of them became famous, SARS and MERS. The rest never made it to the big leagues.

COVID-19 is the disease - SARS-CoV-2 is the virus. Kinda like AIDS is the disease, HIV is the virus.

Both coronaviruses (many strains) and rhinoviruses cause the common cold, IIRC, the coronaviruses are more prevalent in winter, and rhinoviruses common in warmer months. They all mutate with abandon, so there is frequently something you are not fully immune to,
