I heard Henning bought the spin rights.

He'll have a site up as soon as he perfects his hydrogen powered wireless net contact machine.

Lol! Almost 25,000 political posts and less that 1,000 aviation posts with the last one being 6 days ago. Might as well not even call it an aviation forum.

I like that they're using SMF software. I've been an admin on a few sites that use it. It's actually my favorite forum software.

By the way, a quick peek over there shows that @steingar has been posting there as recently as two weeks ago, for those who were looking for him in that other thread.

Actually I admire Steingar for sticking it out over there. He is one of very, very few left leaning voices and if you contradict the boiler plate dogma of the conservatives over there, you get ganged up on. Nobody changes anybody's mind and there's nothing nice over there, so for him to to stick it out means either he's a masochist, doing some secret research on the angry white male (plus one angry black muslim), or really thinks he's on a crazy mission to convert the unconvertible.

I's all good. He must be having a good time, or he'd have left by now. I did.

He's a professor. Never met one that couldn't lean left for a lifetime. ;)

(And for the record, we've met multiple times in person and he doesn't bother me at all, even though I tend to lean fiscally conservative and "government isn't supposed to be involved in that anyway" socially... which is basically what happens if a government is fiscally conservative anyway. Can't afford to be all things to all needy complainers if you have to operate under a balanced budget. But I digress. He's consistent and can make his own arguments unlike most folks just repeating whatever website they read today. He's not militant or just plain dumb about how he presents his position either, which is good. He sticks to factual statements and not propaganda for the most part. He's a hoot to have a few drinks with.)
