Reading posts like-

high wing versus low wing
CAPS or no CAPS
how and what to announce at uncontrolled fields
flying through MOA versus flying through MOA unannounced
hating Cirrus versus really hating Cirrus

made me think, is there anything pilots will generally agree with?
Or is it human nature to disagree?

For example, if I said flying is fun...

flying is better than not flying (with a few exceptions - think thunderstorms, etc)

A boatload more than you think. Just because we argue on web boards doesn't mean we aren't thick as thieves once we get together.

I think most pilots agree on most things.
But most of them won't admit it because
then it make all pilots look alike. And all
pilots think they are smarter than all other
pilots so they have to disagree, or at least
argue a minor discrepancy to prove it.

There are few things that compare to the joy of flight.

By the way, I love pancakes.

They agree to disagree...

It's better to be down here wishing you were up there, than up there wishing you were down here.

AND

It's easy to make a small fortune in aviation. You start with a large fortune.

Pilots disagree the same way people disagree on politics, religion and child rearing.

That taxes are too low. And the FAA is underfunded. And that homebuilts are a danger to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

That is exactly where my mind first went, but then I should know better, because my wife is a pilot, and then I read this:

I guarantee there are some pilots who don't bat for that team.

Some of them have boobs themselves. Some don't.

So I will amend my answer to sex. All pilots agree that sex is good. Margin of error for asexuality (and personal experience) makes me confident that this is a true enough statement to satisfy the original question.

I heard that there is no such thing as bad sex or bad pizza. That statement is not true.

I did not say all sex is good, just that sex, in general (asexuals aside) is good.

And yes, there is some truly bad pizza. Let's all work to fix that, shall we, one homemade pie at a time.

Six of us sat around a hot hangar today swapping lies and having a grand ol' time.

From my observations, pilot's usually fall into one of two categories..

The nicest guy you ever want to meet, or the biggest walking sphincter on the face of the planet.
