What are your flying goals for the new year?

I'm going to try for my formation card.

Learn more aerobatics.

Attend Oshkosh!

fly parents from south Florida to MYBS (South Bimini Bahamas) for lunch.

oh, and back as well :)

Just fly across the USA for two weeks, visiting rehabilitation hospitals, promoting GA and Modified Flight Plan, which is up to 44 reviews BTW.

Instrument rating.

You're gonna need bigger fuel tanks. ;).

Now that is a great goal!

Instrument and commercial ratings

1) Get current again +medical (definitely!)
2) Instrument Rating (hopefully)
3) Commercial Rating (that'd be great!)
...
4) Somehow afford all of those

I kinda want to buy into a partnership this year but I'm not clear on the best ways to snoop around for one. I need to get to know people better at my close airport.

I also intend to use the crap out of my new IR this summer :)

Fly as many hours and miles as I can in the next 365 days!!!

1.) Fly again. Which, considering the apparent total lack of LSA anywhere near here, may be something of a challenge.
2.) Support and promote H.R. 3708
3.) Not count on H.R. 3708 ever seeing the light of day.
4.) Get started building an RV-12.

I'm gonna drop flaps while in a turn and try not to crash since it is so dangerous

I'm debating more ratings in my head. I don't need them. But I fly better with every rating. And therefore one could argue that I do need them. ;)

Plus, why bother with a BFR when there's still more ratings to add to the little green gub'mint card? ;)

  • More four day get-aways!
  • Fly at least 100 hours
  • BAC Fest is in Portland this year. Mary and I would love to fly out, then head south along the west coast spending a week in San Diego before flying east for home.
  • Sell the motor home and purchase a sticks and bricks beach house in Ocean City, MD.
  • Get 08R in a hangar at the beach KOXB
  • Replace the Collins audio panel with a PMA8000B
  • Investigate Autopilots for 08R

1) Surgery: remove a benign tumor so I can do the medical exam to get an IFR license;
2) Buy an airplane in the US and bring it home :yesnod:

To teach many people how to fly, and advance them in the world of Aviation.

You are going to need one of these:

Complete Sport Pilot
Answer THE BIG QUESTION (to buy or to rent)
Buy 40 acres and build on it

You'll need a time machine if you seriously want to do that in 2014.

Zombie thread

Just keep flying and maintaining the airplane. That will be enough.

If your overweight and out of shape its not enough! Be sure your within the weight recommended for your age and height. If not and you have a cardio "event" you will not have to worry about flying again in most cases as you will be grounded or die. Smoking, naturally , is really bad for your heart so quit and if you eat a lot of junk food, soft drinks, etc. your asking for big trouble. Good luck!

Fly a lot.
Continue to improve my aviation skills.
Become a gyroplane certified flight instructor.
Schedule a demonstrated ability medical check ride for a SODA for a class II medical.
Get a class II medical so I can get paid for flying air shows.
Fly more air shows.

Keep flying a couple of days a week,do more cross countries.Try and stay healthy.

Build one of those worm hole things and go back in time.
Ideally I would like to do that so I can make the 2nd post on this thread.

Make all my landings superb. (They can reuse the airplane.)

Mission accomplished.

This is so much easier to do "as built".
