Well, I discovered where all of my relatives like to hang out

[AggieMike88]

Sofia, NC. Near a Quaker church called Marlboro Friends Meeting. Keep zooming in on the first one to see all the Aunts/Uncles/cousins

Second one is Paternal grandparents (unfortunately never met in person.

And this guy followed us all around the property puppy dog style.

I trust that you aren’t thinking about moving in with them. At least not anytime soon.

That would be a guard chicken. They are specially trained to follow people and attack if they try to steal anything.

I live about 15 miles from Sophia...Small world.

92 miles for me. The world is bigger than you think.

Well, if I’d known there’d be beer and that there would be such esteemed company I might have shown up.

We can double down next time you’re in DFW.

Which might be awhile. I seldom am there.

Nice. On my to-do list is a visit to Charleston, WV to see where my family lived from the late 1700s until the early 1900s. Hoping to find some traces of the family there. Had no idea until just a few years ago that we had any connection to that area at all.

20 miles from my place of employment . . . in this line of work. Pretty sure we've done some work in this very place. Interesting connections on this board.

A prominent feature of this place is this four sided monument with some Farlow history on it.

@AggieMike88 I just noticed your post. My phone did an update this morning, and I missed my notifications.
That is an interesting memorial. I'll check out the other three sides when I get back down that way.
