Weekend Flying

Well, not for me. Flight plan, weather briefing, change of clothes and then out the door.

Ninety minutes after leaving the house, I arrive at the airport. I look at the clouds and think, that's a lot closer looking than the briefing lead me to believe. I get out of the car ... and it begins to snow. Not a lot, but enough for me to say, I shouldn't risk IMC without an IFR rating.

Walk into the FBO:

"Well, the weather is against me, guess I'm not flying today."

Other things frustrated me today too, but I'll try to smile and be nice to everyone.

And then there's the days you say, "I shouldn't risk this sort of IMC, even with an Instrument rating..."

As long as you are here to tell us you canceled and remained alive, I think it's all good.
Good ADM saves lives. Not all have it. Be proud. You don't want us to read about your flight in an NTSB report.

It was pretty windy all week in NY. I did FRG-LOM-FRG and had some nice moderate turbulence there and back. Work was a mess. Delayed flights due to snow and wind.
