anyone have any good weather apps for the android system or aviation apps? I know you can get foreflight on the apple stuff but wasnt sure on the androids.

For free apps I use:

iMap Weather - displays a moving map showing WX including lightning.

Metam - displays metars

FltPlan - LOTS of WX as well as charts, A/FD, tracking etc.

AirWX is simple and straightforward. Covers the world, not just the US.

Aviation Weather is good.

I'm using FltPlan right now. Pretty amazing what you get for free, including GPS tracking over charts. Weather as well.

I downloaded garmin pilot, we will see if its worth much. the weather updates are nice and it looks like it is pretty detailed. I will also download fltplan.

thank you all

My most used one so far is Pilot Lounge, I find it is incredibly useful (at least as a student) to have the METAR for my home airport on a homescreen widget.
There isn't a TAF for my home airport, but that's available too on the widget.

+1 for Pilot Lounge.
Quick, simple, 1 click to find out if it is VFR, MVFR, IFR, etc.

Love it
