Was there some data loss?

[flyingcheesehead]

A couple of days ago it appeared like all of my Watched threads were returning to posts I'd already seen, and that newer posts I'd made had disappeared, and I saw some comments in threads about missing posts.

Was there some sort of data loss/crash and restoration to a previous snapshot or backup? I was kind of expecting an announcement here.

I suspect so. I saw a database error message and then a few threads (including one I started about the 25th anniversary of 9/11) disappeared.

Yes we did. I will let the experts chime in @GeorgeC @flyingron @jason.

Our anti-bot code ran amok and filled up the disk, so things possibly got a bit wonky until GeorgeC got expanded the disk (and I shutdown the software).

Heard back from the guys who wrote the software. Supposedly they'll have a fix today.
