Oi think he quit flying and lost interest...or stayed away to avoid the yearning. But I'm not positive.

Thanks for the info. He was definitely very helpful to me when I first joined. Sometimes the new guy doesn't get much attention, but he patiently talked me through some stuff. Good guy.

Toward the end of Wayne's days in this forum and others, he ended up in a couple of spats that were uncharacteristic of him. He was usually very good about staying above the fray. Shortly thereafter, he pulled out of this forum, AOPA, and maybe one or two others. I think he found better things to do with his time than have silly arguments on the interweb.

He had a great (IMO) perspective on aircraft ownership and I really miss his contributions.

He is still active and flying, he just quit internet boards. I email or talk to him every few months. Last check he was staying as busy as he wanted and. Playing golf when he wanted.

Saw Wayne tonight, along with several other stalwart PoAers. He's doing great, is in fine form (as always).

As noted, he's pretty spare in his internetting.

We swapped emails and caught up. He laughed that I had emailed tonight as he met up with some local POAs and mention his trip where he stopped and visited here.
