I'm not sure what happened to the T6. I heard they spun in when landing, but for now that's hearsay.
I go to quite a few fly-ins every year. Sometimes it's a rodeo. Everyone wants to do low passes, and often times it's turns into many passes. Add in people trying to take off, people trying to land, and it gets fun.
I was riding along with my buddy in his Champ and we heard a flight of 5 Stearmans heading in. They were ahead of us and it helped us find the field when they did a low pass on runway 14 with smoke on. We decided to stay out to the West until they got down, not knowing if they were doing another pass and we were in no hurry. They turned back into downwind for 14, but then someone on the ground said we're switching to 32. So, the Stearmans came over midfield and entered left downwind for 32. The problem is 32 has a right-downwind pattern, but we just stayed out of the way. They landed and other planes were inbound, so at some point we were going to cross mid-field and enter right downwind, but by then there were 3 or 4 planes entering left downwind, and when we mentioned it was right-traffic, one pilot said, "well, we're using left downwind" and someone else asked "why?". So rather than meet someone on base head-on, we decided to join the crowd and use left downwind and we made it in with no issue.
When we left later that day, we heard someone asking "brown Pacer did you get permission to take off?" and the brown pacer didn't appreciate being questioned, so more drama.
Anyway, did I mention these can become rodeos? Keep you eyes and ears open, you never know what's going to happen at a fly-in.
